Dr. Patrick McMullen Adjunct Professor – Portland State University
Patrick G. McMullen, Ph.D. is an internationally know professor, keynote speaker,
counselor, and consultant. His work has spanned more than eight countries for more
than three decades, earning him a reputation as a respected authority in the field
of personal and professional development.
Dr. McMullen has done extensive work with the helping professions, focusing on Education
& Health Care. A frequent guest on television and radio talk shows, he provides an entertaining,
though provoking, and meaningful perspective that has enhanced programs and individuals worldwide.
“Dr. McMullen has served as an adjunct professor with Continuing Education in the Graduate School
of Educations (CE/ED) since 1990. All of the courses he offers through CE/ED carry graduate credit
through the Counselor Education Department in the Graduate School of Education. Over that time period,
he has developed and implemented 10 successful programs offered in the State of Washington, Oregon,
Oklahoma, and in British Columbia, Canada. The programs have focused on personal growth, counseling,
and leadership-areas in which Dr. McMullen has significant expertise.
The student evaluations that have been turned in for the courses that Dr. McMullen has taught through
