"Personal & Professional Development: Humanizing the Classroom"
All of Dr. McMullen’s courses are designed to provide a comprehensive overview. Course
contents include history, philosophy, moral & ethical expectations, program design, the
structure of learning contracts, the delineation & evaluation of learning objectives,
appropriate resources, and the establishment of professional, educational, and personal goals.
All courses are an introduction to the perspectives, research, and empirical findings of their
essence. Topics covered include self and identity, social influence, attribution theory, attitudes
and attitude changes, personal relationships, gender, age, and race, and their application to human
development and personal growth.
Dr. McMullen integrates all of his courses from an experiential base
to create a holistic process of understanding and meaning. Since the entirety is thematic, the individual courses stand alone, and the cumulative is programmatic.
